May 4th Relief Society Meeting-6:30

This month we are focusing on the goals in the Family Relations section of the Relief Society University goals. Number 5 is "start a memory book with stories, pictures, family traditions, etc. Compile stories of ancestors to add to your book. Record your memories of your relatives and invite others to also do so." We are going to help you get started!! We have cut out the mini-books and have them ready for you to decorate and put together. All you will need to do on your own is to put your memories in them.

This is what they will sort of look like...I painted the inside cover of mine but we actually have paper to use on yours.



And see that lovely wrinkle in the cover on the top photo?? You won't have that either. I got a little Mod Podge and paint happy but I'm over that now. :D

We'll have extra paper for you to use if you want to decorate the inside pages. We'll also have some decorative scissors and paper punches for you to use. You are more than welcome to bring anything you want too!!

If mini-books aren't your kind of fun, then you can bring another project that you want to work on too. Just come and have fun!

One of the other goals is to complete 6 scrapbook pages about your family. We won't have time to work on those too so I'm putting a link for you to help you get started. There are 6 scrapbook page sketches plus a sample for each sketch to give you an idea of what you can do. If you want to bring your own supplies and work on these instead of the mini-book, you can do that too. You don't have to use the sketches to complete the goal though...these are just to help you if you need it.
